The National Native American Youth Initiative Brings Youth Together to Promote Interest in Health Careers
THURSDAY, AUGUST 26, 2010

The Association of American Indian Physicians hosted the 13th Annual Patty Iron Cloud National Native American Youth Initiative (NNAYI) in Washington D.C. on June 19-27, 2010.  A total of fifty American Indian and Alaska Native high school students, between the ages of 16-18, attended the nine-day program.  The high school students represented 21 tribal nations and came from 15 states.  >>Read More... 

Dr. Kathleen R. Annette named 2010 Physician of the Year
FRIDAY, AUGUST 20, 2010
On August 6th, at the AAIP Annual Conference in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, Kathleen Annette, MD, a member of the White Earth Band of Chippewa Indians, received the 2010 Physician of the Year Award from the Association of American Indian Physicians.

Dr. Annette was chosen by her peers for her outstanding contributions throughout her 24 year career and her life's work in improving health care for American Indian and Alaska Native people.  >> Read More
