The project is designed to improve capacity of tribal health departments to meet nationally established standards and be accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB).  AAIP will establish partnerships with tribal health departments who are working towards accreditation in order to capture and share their strategies for success with other tribal health departments seeking accreditation. AAIP will increase availability and access to public health materials, evaluation tools and resources.  AAIP develop a two-day Tribal Accreditation Readiness (TAR) workshop that will increase knowledge, changes attitudes, and give confidence to workshop attendees. AAIP will provide training materials, tools and resources regarding PHAB accreditation for local tribal health departments.
