STD/HIV Prevention

Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Prevention

AAIP has partnered with National Indian Women's Health Resource Center and the Gila River Indian Community to implement culturally competent and community-based interventions to prevent STDs at the individual, community and structural levels. The partners will increase knowledge about reproductive health and services available and seek to reduce STD disparities among American Indian/Alaska Native population.

The partners will also use the CDC Community Guide related to STD/HIV prevention for Men who have sex with Men (MSM) and adapt them to be culturally appropriate, as well as provide group meetings for MSM individuals.
