Discover MSIPI Webinar: Unique Pathways to Health Professions at Albany State University and Portland State University
Join us for an exclusive webinar highlighting the Minority Serving Institution Pathway Initiative (MSIPI), a free five-week summer enrichment program integrated into the Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP). Hear directly from representatives of Albany State University (ASU) and Portland State University (PSU), two dynamic MSIPI program sites actively reviewing applications for Summer 2025.
Learn about the tailored programming offered at these institutions, including day-to-day experiences, academic enrichment, professional development, and unique cultural engagement opportunities designed to prepare students for success in health professions. Explore how PSU’s Tilikum Summer Health Experience, in collaboration with the Northwest Native American Center of Excellence (NNACoE) at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), supports American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) students while honoring Indigenous heritage. Also, discover ASU’s Aspiring Scholars in Undergraduate Pre-Medicine Program, a partnership with Morehouse School of Medicine and University of Connecticut Health School of Medicine focused on bridging excellence through diverse exposures in medicine.
Applications for SHPEP and MSIPI are due February 5, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how MSIPI can help you on your journey toward a career in health professions!
As always, this session will be recorded and posted on the SHPEPconnect YouTube channel within a week of the live viewing.
Warm regards,
