Regional Tribal Environmental Health Summit
The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) announces a Regional Tribal Environmental Health Summit to take place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the Oklahoma City Convention Center on July 25 – 26, 2023. NIHB is partnering with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Environmental Health and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (CDC NCEH/ATSDR).
The summit will:
- Feature Tribal leaders, environmental health practitioners, subject matter experts, and federal partners
- Feature panel discussions and presentations on the topics of:
- regional emergency preparedness
- climate and health
- safe water
- Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)
- brownfields/land reuse/revitalizations
- new CDC online tribal public health data tool
- Be designed for participants to:
- exchange knowledge
- share best practices
- identify solutions to address environmental health and environmental justice/health equity issues affecting Tribal communities
- expand regional partnerships in the environmental health field

The registration form provides a place to indicate your travel needs.
