Student Opportunity – Four Corners Alliance Pre-Admission Workshop

The Four Corners Alliance and the Association of American Indian Physicians are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Pre-Admission Workshop (PAW), scheduled for June 24-27, 2026, at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah. PAW’s mission is to support and increase the number of highly qualified American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) applicants to medical school by providing guidance, mentorship, and resources.

This workshop offers an in-depth overview of the medical school experience, equipping participants with valuable knowledge on the application process, financial support, and campus resources. PAW is designed to prepare you for a successful journey toward medical school by fostering a strong foundation in the skills and information needed for admission and success

How to Apply: (See Application Deadline)
Submit a complete application by March 30th, 2026. Applications will be reviewed once all supporting documents are received. 

Pre-Application Checklist:

  • Personal Statement: Upload a one-page, single-spaced statement discussing how your background and experiences have influenced your motivation to pursue a career in medicine and how PAW can help you achieve your goals. Include your interest in addressing the unique health challenges faced by Native American and Alaska Native communities.
  • Letter of Recommendation (Optional): One letter from a professor, counselor, employer, tribal elder, or community leader familiar with your achievements.
