In Memoriam – Dr. Rodney Stapp

Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues,
It is with deep sorrow that we inform you that our dear friend and CEO of Urban Inter-Tribal Center of Texas, Dr. Rodney Stapp, passed away last night.
Indian Country has lost an amazing human being. There are no words that can adequately express our sadness for his death or our gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside him.
We will honor his memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much.
Memorial Service
A celebration of his life will be conducted at the Tyler Street United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2pm. A reception will follow at the Urban Inter-Tribal Center of Texas, 1283 Record Crossing Rd, Dallas, TX 75235. Additionally, a celebration service will be held in Lawton, OK at the Comanche Nation Funeral Home on 2701 SW J Ave, on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Memorials may be made to Rodney Stapp Scholarship Fund for Native American Education.
