Now Live! PSA on COVID-19 in Native American Communities
July 13, 2020
The COVID -19 pandemic continues to impact our American Indian community physically, mentally, emotionally, and economically. Although businesses are reopening, we must remind our community to stay vigilant about physical distancing, handwashing, and wearing masks. The Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission, several Los Angeles Native community based organizations,* and Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell have partnered to create a PSA (https://vimeo.com/437155107). The tagline of the PSA: For Our Ancestors. For Our Families. For Our Future serves as a reminder and call to action for community members to continue to leverage their collective strength and resiliency during this crisis. We’ve reached out to you because your values and social media voice aligns with our message of protection and healing. Please help us amplify our message by sharing the video found on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AICommission/), Instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/naicommission/), and website at https://lanaic.lacounty.gov/.
If you choose to share it on your own platforms, we’ve attached a social media kit with images, captions, tags, and hashtags. Thank you in advance for sharing this with your network and posting these items on your respective channels on July 13th & beyond.
We appreciate your solidarity in spreading such an important message!
Sincerely,
