2024 American Indians Accessing Health Professions Program
The Association of American Indian Physicians and Our Western Region Consortium Partners Announce the 2024 American Indians Accessing Health Professions Program!
The American Indians Accessing Health Professions Program (AIAHPP) is a free program designed to provide American Indian/Alaska Native students from undergraduate, community and tribal colleges an exposure to different careers in health professions, as well as the tools and mentors to help them get there. If you are an American Indian or Alaska Native student in your first or second year of college and you are interested in a career in the health professions, we encourage you to apply!
The 2024 AIAHPP is a two-day program designed to encourage more American Indian/Alaska Native students to pursue health professions. This workshop is designed for incoming freshmen, freshmen and sophomore students who may have an interest in pursuing health-related careers. Students will receive educational sessions on different health careers, health school admissions, financial aid, research opportunities and problem-based learning as well as some hands-on health simulations. Selected students will have all travel, food, lodging and program expenses paid by AAIP and our partner institutions listed on the flyer above.
