Undergraduate & Graduate Students Interested in a Health Profession
AAIP has longstanding partnerships with the Four Corners Alliance (University of Colorado, University of Utah, University of New Mexico, University of Arizona – Tucson, and University of Arizona – Phoenix) and University of Minnesota, Duluth to host annual Pre-Admission Workshops (PAW). Most recently, AAIP has collaborated with SUNY Upstate Medical University to host a PAW in the NE region of the country. The PAW is an event held to bring together AAIP member physicians, AI/AN college students, public health professionals, university admissions professionals and other interested individuals with the goal of providing students with the information and skills necessary to succeed in the medical and health-profession school admission process.
If you are interested in pursuing a career in the allied health or medicine fields, then we encourage you to apply!
Workshop topics include:
- Selecting a professional school
- Admissions tests (MCAT)
- Personal statements
- AMCAS application process
- Financial aid and scholarship resources
- Interview process including a mock interview
