2nd Annual FLIP Nursing Scholarship Applications Open

The Front Line Indigenous Partnership (FLIP) program is excited to announce the Fall 2024 FLIP Nursing Scholarship application is now open untilSaturday, July 1st and we are expanding to support 4 awardees this academic year!

The founding principles of the FLIP program embody equity, eliminating American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) healthcare disparities, and increasing the number of AIAN professionals in healthcare fields. Currently, only 0.4% of nurses are AI/AN, and we aim to address this workforce disparity to increase culturally relevant and competent care for Indigenous communities.

The FLIP Nursing Scholarship is designed for bachelor and associate-level nursing students to reduce the financial burden on AI/AN students, and to provide mentorship for the recipients.

In our inaugural year (2023-2024) we awarded two nursing scholarships. We are incredibly honored to assist these students in their educational and career journeys. We envision they will become excellent nurses, inspire others, and will give back to their communities in impactful ways.
